Alcazar & Cordoba

Alcazar, Sevilla January 25th, 2011

Banos de Dona Maria de Padilla:  So apparently Maria was one of the lovers of the King of Spain and asked him to make her a bath of her own in the palace.  Of course he agreed and here you go!

Mudejar architecture- a mix of catholic and muslim
I took this picture with my phone the other day when I woke up early to study.  How great is that sunrise?

Cordoba day trip Feb 4th, 2011

Torre
In the Mezquita-Catedral.  It was originally a Roman Catholic, conquered by Muslims, and then reconquered again by Christians.  So cool to see this strong mix of religions in one Mosque/Church!

El torre from another angle

Cute little street lined with flowers!

Salmorejo- a type of gazpacho native to Corodoba.  Bread + Tomato mix= delish
